Storyboard Text

  • CITE SOURCES TO AVOID PLAGIARISM. I am currently doing our school works and our research paper. As a responsible user of media and information, I must critically analyze the veracity of each information and cite sources and references to avoid plagiarism.
  • As a millennial, I have active engagements on various social media platforms. THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK. Begore posting anything else into my account - memes, status, posts, photos, shared videos, and the like, I double check and assess whether this post can become discriminatory, carefully considering whether or not the post can hurt the feelings of other people. In social media, I make sure to SPREAD LOVE - NOT HATE.

  • Part of being responsible and literate users of media, we must learn to decide decide whether the messages make sense, why certain information was included, what wasn't included, and what the key ideas are. We must learn to value the action of "fact-checking" for us to be able to identify the authenticity of the information.
  • Where have you read it, Mom? Have you checked if the source is reliable and credible? As responsible media users, we must equip ourselves with critical thinking to analyze and verify the truthfulness of the information conveyed in various mediums.
  • Is the latest news true that there will be war with Philippines and China? I read in on a website.
  • Also, whenever browsing new and untrusted website, I see to it to be careful with sharing personal information, such as e-mails, password, contact information, and the like. VALUE CYBERSECURITY. We must be mindful of all the information we input and share to these media and information providers to avoid identity theft. We should be careful of clickbait as it actually does damage. It's potentially harmful to your computer, it spreads misinformation, fake news, and dubious sources, and it degrades everyone's collective experience of the internet.
  •
  • TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS WHEN DOING SOMETHING IMPORTANT AND LIMIT SCREEN TIME. I do this to be able to concentrate to what I am doing - specifically school works and chores. Through media and information providers are part of my life, I make sure to regulate my usage and make sure that it never distracts me or it never bothers my productivity for the day. This can enable us to do and prioritize the necessary things, and avoid the overuse or addiction to these media and information providers.
  •
  • Stand against biased and indecisive information and leave out conforming mass-media stereotypes, standing for rational and decisive utilization of media in disseminating information. Check all your interaction with media and information and how you feel after every interaction. Learn to critically assess the information whether they are discriminatory and hurtful to other people.
