But I like it here, the king gives us gold and a tall tower to live in
Son we need to get out of here we can't keep living like this
King Minos wanted Daedalus to build him a palace, but in the cellars would be a maze and any man ventured into it would never find a way out.
Wake up Icarus!
After finishing the project he looked at it with pride but when he found out what it was actually for he felted horrified. King Minos has put a creature half man half beast.
Careful there son
Daedalus and his son Icarus wanted to leave Crete but King Minos wanted them to stay until they died. Icarus and Daedalus lived a luxurious life in Minos palace, in a tower with a beautiful view. But they were prisoners, at night the doors were locked and gaurds stood outside the door.
Daedalus made a plan, when everyone went to sleep Daedalus worked on something so magnificant no one would ever forget him. A year went by one early morning Icarus was awoken by his father, We are leaving Crete! Daedalus had made wings for the two of them.
Daedalus glued the wings to Icarus and Icarus glued the wings to Daedalus. The most important message Daedalus gave to his son was not to fly too close to the sun. Off they went flying through the sky with glued wings on their backs.
I'll be alright dad stop worrying!
While flying Icarus started to fly too close to the sun. Sweat started to run down his forehead but he wanted to out fly the sun, then he remembered what his dad said " Don't fly too close to the sun." That's when the wax started to soften and the wings broke off, no the clouds did not catch him neither did the birds. He fell head first deep down to where sharks were. All that was left ware feathers.
