Storyboard Text

  • Today is September 23, 1800. It's officially the last day to cast your votes! There have been many sides to this years election, it's going to be a close one.
  • There has been a majority vote of 65 to 39 in the House of Representatives. The votes are coming to be closer than we thought.
  • Burr is definitely going to win this one.
  • How can you be so sure? Jefferson may fire federalists if he isn't elected. I mean isn't this what Washington warned us about in his Farewell Address?
  • Jefferson and Burr have received the same amount of votes. Each have 73 electoral votes in total and we are still awaiting to confirm the numbers.
  • It was a tie!? What's going to happen now.. Who's going to win the election if its a tie?
  • You know what a tie means. It's up to you to decide who you think is going to be the better president.
  • Jefferson seems more focused than Burr and I think if I had to choose, he knows what hes doing.
  • I choose Jefferson. I will admit, I can't recall a time where we agreed, but I don't feel that Burr is quite as responsible.
