- Around this time, not only the French but also the British were involved in the fur trade! So now that there were two countries trading fur, you'd expect them to bicker a bit, but we will talk about that later. For now though, remember the new job opportunities we talked about? Well one of those jobs were being a voyager. They were very important because thanks to killing to many animals, they had to find more, so voyagers had to find more fertile lands and rivers for transport. At this time as well, the Metis started to become important, because you need a translator to know what the Indians are saying. Anyway, I think that's all for phase 3. Next: phase four!

The Answer: in 1763, the British absolutely cooked the French for their colonies, and now Britain has New France, as well as the trading network that the French used for the fur trade. Thanks to this, a new company challenged the Hudson Bay Company for cash and success. Now, in their hunting grounds, they were running out of animals for furs, so they had to go west for more, but that meant sometimes the two rival companies would meet themselves when exploring. - And now finally, the end of the fur trade, Phase 5. in this time there where no more compaction for furs in Canada because britan fused the companions together, but thanks to them killing too many animals, they couldn't find furs, and since everyone had a beaver hat, the demand went down. so that was it for the fur trade.
