Storyboard Description

For this science project, I have created a storyboard describing the processes of Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration.

Storyboard Text

  • Its a beautiful day outside with all the green and beautiful plants! This makes me think on how these plants are so green and healthy. Shall I explain?
  • Well you see, there's a process called photosynthesis! And there are two processes
  • Photosynthesis A process where plants produce their own food (specifically glucose) in order to grow using the sun, water, and carbon dioxide.
  • There is an equation that comes in handy when it comes to understanding these processes
  • Sunlight + Water +Carbon Dioxide = Glucose + Oxygen
  • Carbon Dioxide
  • Sugar
  • A chloroplast contains chlorophyll and also where photosynthesis takes place.
  • All of this occurs in the chloroplast of a plant cell!
  • Light Dependent Reaction A chemical inside the plant's chloroplast (chlorophyll) absorbs the sun's energy. When you water plants, the water or hydrogen is absorbed by the plant's roots. ATP AND NADPH are created here too.
  • Us humans are able to breathe thanks to plants, this process releases oxygen while absorbing water!
  • Light Dependent Reaction This is where carbon dioxide and glucose comes in. Carbon Dioxide enters the stroma and combines with ATP energy to create glucose. This process is called "fixed carbon dioxide".
  • Sugar
  • In this process, the plants produce glucose for itself and also gives off oxygen to us!
  • Carbon Dioxide
