In the late 19th century, Texas's cattle industry was blooming. There were more cattle in Texas and cattle was about $4.00 while the east had rarely any cattle and costed $40.00. So, Texas cowboys was thinking to go to the railroad. Once they reached the railroad, they can sell cattle everywhere in the U.S.
We should sell these cows.
So, cowboys and cattle went through trails in order to go to the railroad. There was the Great Western Cattle Trail and the Chisholm Trail.
How long will this last?
I do not know.
Years gone by, and the cowboys finally reached the Transcontinental Railroad! Now they can send cows and cattle everywhere!
