  • What monstrous hair she has!
  • Rifka wanted to braid the girls hair because she was going to meet her aunt for the first time. So RIfka was trying to unravel her hair so that it looked nicer. But she did not know that the girls hair was contagious (pg. 44).
  • Is it ok if I braid your hair?
  • Its ok.
  • After Rifka was done fixing the girls hair, she smelled the wafting (pg.45) scent of cheese. Her mouth watered at the smell of it.
  • Rifka went back to her seat on the train and felt the Pushkin was still in her rucksack (pg.39). She then asked her mother if she could get off of the train at the next stop.
  • No. You should not have drank that much tea before we got on the train.
