- Because you and the other allies over power us.
- France, U.S.A, England
- WHY??
- Oh okay, thanks!
- We may be foes but we need each other.
- To defeat our common enemy!
- GERMANY!!
- And who would that be?
- Ok, we are in.
- Why is that?
- Hello Mr. Oppenheimer.
- I was thinking we should turn this abandoned industry into a research and development area.
- For making the first nuclear weapons.
- Hello Mr. Lawrence. What can I help you with?
- Okay, for what though?
- I like that idea, lets do it!
- The German army surrendered to the Allies because they had troops that were way more trained. They were surrounded by the allies. They were running out of supplies. Finally, Hitler, their leader committed suicide.
- NOOOOOOOO!
- The U.S and Soviet Union teamed up to beat their greatest enemy. The enemy they share is Germany. They eventually defeated the German army. They were foe because we both had different believes. The Soviet Union was communism and U.S.A is democracy.
- We must surrender to U.S.A.
- The Manhattan Project was mostly research and development. They created the first nuclear weapons. It started in 1939. It was created by Robert Oppenheimer.
- Surrender to the U.S.A NOW!
- Good.
- Okay okay okay, please don't hurt us.
- U.S decided to use the nuclear bomb on Japan in Hiroshima to make them surrender. It happened in 1945. It killed around 200,000 people. Most of everyone who died were civilians.
- The bombing in Nagasaki also killed around 200,000 civilians. The bomb in Nagasaki was way worse then the one in Hiroshima. The reason for that is because the one in Nagasaki had a way bigger explosion rate which destroyed even more then the one in Hiroshima. The bomb dropped in Nagasaki was different because it was a plytonium-239 bomb and the one in Hiroshima was a uranium-235 bomb.
- The main reason Japan surrendered to U.S.A was because Japan got bombed twice by America and Japan knew they could do it again. The thought of that happening again scared them into surrendering. President Truman made the choice to drop the bombs on Japan. Robert Oppenheimer and his team of scientist created the first atomic bomb.
