Storyboard Text

  • 4:45am
  • Another day I wish not to wake up, but I must be strong for my sister
  • No, you know our responsibility is working
  • I am very tired, can we go back home to sleep?
  • No! Please, it hurts too much, it hurts me, I am not going to do it again, please do not punish me.
  • You are going to be "weighted"!
  • I am very tired and thirsty, but I can not stop, I do not want to be beaten
  • Danielle stop crying!  You'll call the supervisor's attention
  • I can't feel my hands, they are exhausted, the equipment is very heavy
  • Adam is 10 years old, he wakes up everyday to go to work at the shoe factory with his 6 year old sister, Danielle.
  • Keep working and stop crying or you want me to really make you cry?
  • Don't you dare to touch her,  she is just a little girl, hit me instead.
  • Stop! You are hurting him.
  • 7:30PM
  • Today, George, Adam's worker fellow, arrived 15 minutes late because of his mom's sickness, but the cruel chief is blind to his excuse and George was punished to hold heavyweights on his neck and walk up down the factory aisles. This way children could know the punishment for getting late to work.
  • I wish I could be like that girl,  wear fancy dresses and never work again.
  • I wish I could be just like that rich kids, attend school and learn how to read and write.
  • Factories are dangerous for children. They worked with large, heavy and dangerous equipments so they could get injured or even killed.
  • 8:00PM
  • I want to see mom, I want a huge from her, this was a horrible day, just like always.
  • But my hug will cause you pain because you're hurt
  • Mom is not here, but I could give you the hug if you want.
  • Bosses are cruel with children. They are physically and verbally abused. And their safety is disregarded.
  • Now you learned to never raise your voice again, keep working.
  • They were also paid only one fraction of what an adult get. And rich kids, were the only ones that could have an education.
  • At least, we are bringing some money to mom, is not that much but is something.
  • Kids didn't receive love and affection from their parents because just like them they work late.
  • Don't worry about me
