  • Henry II created a legal reform Henry II created a legal reform during his reign. His plan to help the royal authority become stronger created a conflict with the churches.
  • John had powerful enemies because he lost a lot of the land that England owned in France. He argued with churches and took large amounts of money from them.
  • King Edward I tried to include more people in the government. That includes commoners and lower-ranking clergy, church officials and nobles. This was called the Model Parliament.
