  • Loyalist?
  • Patriot?
  • The Declaration of Independence means a lot to me!
  • Yes. How terrible. I don't know what I should do...
  • Did you hear about the fighting at Lexington and Concord?
  • The movie starts out with a man that lived in New York. He was in the middle. He doesn't know if he was a Patriot or a Loyalist. His name is William.
  • Hi Simon!
  • Hi William!
  • After reading and understanding The Declaration of Independence, William sees what it means to be a Patriot. He decides to be on the Patriot side.
  • William are you okay?
  • I'm fine! Keep fighting the Redcoats
  • A while later William hears about the first battles at Lexington and Concord. He wants to help but he is indecisive. He is scared to join the war but decides that his freedom is a great thing to fight for.
  • Then William joins the Continental Army. He becomes friends with many of the other soldiers. One of his closest friends is a guy named Simon. Simon and William fight in almost every battle together.
  • In this part it will show all of the battles William is in. One of the most important ones is the Battle of Saratoga when William got injured. During this battle William was shot in the leg. He was okay. The Patriots won this battle and it gave William and Simon new hope!
  • Lastly the end will talk about winning the War and what it meant to William. At the beginning William was indecisive but in the end he knew he made the right choice. Winning the war was the best feeling. Even though it wasn't easy fighting for the ideas of the Declaration of Independence there is no better thing than fighting for whats right!
  • I'm glad I made the right decision and joined the war and fought for freedom!
