"The Legend of the Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving starts with a slanky, Crane looking man that is a school teacher. This story takes place a long time ago in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Ichabod the school teacher loves Katrina for she is a flirty, beautiful girl who is very rich. However there is a problem, a strong, black-haired man also likes her. His name is Brom and wears a yellow vest with pink pants.
During school a man showed up in the classroom and told him that he was invited do a party that the Van-Tassel family was hosting. Ichabod was so excited he let the class go home early and got ready for the party. When he got there he wanted to show off to Katrina by singing and dancing. His singing was horrible and so was his dancing but Katrina joined in. Brom saw this and got jealous.
Brom saw that he was extremely superstitious and took the opportunity to tell a spooky story about the headless horseman. Everyone thought his story was hilarious except for poor Ichabod.
When the party was over, he went home on his horse shivering with fear on his old, grey horse named Gunpowder. On his way walking there he ran into the terrifying headless horseman. He wore a dark purple cape and rode a black horse with white hair. He was throwing fiery pumpkins and slashing his sword at him.
Nobody knew what happened to him that night. All that was left was a hat and a shattered Pumpkin. As for Brom Bones, he got married to Katrina. Even years after is marriage he laughs whenever someone says the word pumpkin or mentions the name of Ichabod Crane. The End!
