  • Now I see that the three of you got together to play this mean trick on me. Hermia, you are so rude and ungrateful! Did you go behind my back and plan this with them?

  • Did you forget about all the talks we’ve had, the promises we made to stay sisters, all the time we spent together, wishing that we never had to say goodbye--have you forgotten? Becoming friends in elementary school as innocent children?

  • Hermia, we were the best of friends. Sewing one flower, on one shirt, sitting on the same cushion, singing the same song, it was like our hands, voices, and minds were the same.

  • So we grew up together, like two cherries on one stem--from the outside perspective looking separated-- but really just two twin cherries.

  • We looked like we had two bodies but we were just one heart. Are you really wanting to destroy our nearly lifelong friendship just to join these two guys in insulting me? 
  • Hermia
  • Helena
  • It’s not kind, not friendly, and not ladylike. Even though I’m the only one who is hurt by this, all women would be angry at you.
  • I am so amazed by what you’re saying. I am not insulting you, if anything, you’re insulting me.
