  • Dude. . . HELP! Do you understand the concept of work? My physics teacher's explanation was not the best. 
  • So work is where something moves in the same direction as the force that acts upon it.
  • For example, if I lifted up this ball and walk to the right.
  • That is NOT work because my force is gravitational force which is up and down. I gotta throw the ball up for there to be work. If I move left or right, it would not matter in terms of work.
  • So... If I threw a ball to the left, the force is heading left and the direction is left. That's an example of work, right?
  • Yeah, you got it.
