On a December night a man sat in his study reading, trying to distract himself from his lose of his wife Lenore.
Then there was a small knocking at the door. The man being a little scared called out "I'm sorry, you knocked so lightly I barely hared you." The man opened the door but no one was there.
The man closed the door and turned back into the study but he heard a knocking louder then before. The man decided to check his window just to be sure that nothing was there, but as he opened the window a raven came into the room and landed on his statue.
The man smiles at the raven forgetting his sorrow for a second. The man takes a seat accros the raven. He asks the bird if he will ever see his love Lenore again. But all the raven says in replay is "Nevermore".
This replay angers the man. He demands the bird to leave him and to go back where it came from.
The bird does not leave however. The repetitive raven only says "Nevermore.''
