The meeting lasted many days and when the First Nations and French left, the meeting room was deserted.
Mere days before the end of the meeting disaster struck! Kondiaronk, a highly respected member of the Huron, had caught influenza. The many representatives remembered him and his clan as they continued the negotiations
The conclusion after 2 weeks of meetings was that the many nations like the, Huron, Menominee and Abenaki would not make war on each other. If a nation did, however then it would be up to the French governor to solve the conflict. Finally all the nations agreed to be able to use the hunting grounds North and West of Lake Ontario.
