  • Did you Know that the capital of Alaska is Juneau?
  • Yeah, or that Alaska makes money from timber, fishing, and oil?
  • Oh yeah? Well one fun fact is that Olympia is the capital.
  • Washington
  • Three awesome ways that Washington makes money is coffee, fishing, and apples.
  • Oregon
  • That's cool, but did you know that Oregon makes money off of coffee, fishing, and tourism?
  • The capital of Oregon is Salem.
  • Project: Postcard Alaska's largest lake Lake Iliamna is the size of Connecticut. Alaska has more coastline than all the rest of the USA. 25% of all oil in the USA is produced in Alaska
  • Idaho
  • That's awesome, and Idaho makes their money of potatoes, electrical equipment, and healthcare.
  • Did you know that the capital of Idaho is Boise?
  • DId you know that Wyoming makes money from tourism, farming, and timber.
  • Project: State Float Starbucks was founded in Seattle. Apples, Coffee, Microsoft, Seahawks, Fishing.  Washington is famous for its apples.

  • Project: Discovery Collage Multnomah Falls is a large waterfall near the Columbia river. The largest city in Oregon is Portland and is located right underneath a massive mountain. Crater Lake is a lake located in Oregon that was formed when a volcano collapsed.
  • Montana
  • No, but did you know that the capital is Helena?
  • Did you know that Montana makes money from timber, tourism, and farming?
  • Project: Powerpoint The highest point is Borah Peak at 12,662 feet, and the lowest point is Snake River at 710 feet. Idaho's 5 largest cities are Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Idaho Falls, Pocatello. This state's nickname is "The Gem State".
  • Project: Point of Interest Wyoming's Devils Tower is America's first national monument. It is said that for thousands of years people have lived around the tower and many stories have been passed from generation to generation. A man once parachuted from a plane to the top of the tower.
  • Project: National Park There are 276 different species of birds in Glacier National Park alone. Part of Glacier National Park actually goes into Canada. Glacier National Park has over 700 miles of trails in the park.
