  • Many Arbs called bedouin used to live in the desert, raiding other tribes for animals.
  • They improved their battle skills by participating in camel/horse races and poets made poems during the campfire.
  • Slowly, towns were built near trade routes and one God they worshipped was Allah.
  • "Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, Who taught by the pen, taught men what he did not know" -God
  • Muhammad also preached that "there was only Allah to worship" and that "the rich should share their wealth with the poor."
  • Muhammad preached that "God valued good deeds" and to prepare for the Day of Judgement which is when "God would punish the evildoers and reward the just".
  • The Five Pillars that the Muslims follow are: belief, prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage.
  • Muslims believe that the Quran teaches them how to live and they have to obey Allah.
  • The Quran had all of Muhammad's messages from God.
  • Muslims need to be honest, treat others fairly, respect their family, and neighbors.
  • The Quran "forbids murder, lying, and stealing."
