Storyboard Text

  • Thanks for inviting me here! I had a really great time.
  • No problem, I had a really great time too!
  • Here is my wallet I can pay
  • 02-14
  • No, don't worry. I will.
  • Oh, thanks! It's my grandfather's birthday.
  • Hey, a little red paper fell from your wallet. What does the number mean?
  • 02-14
  • Bridge invited Sherm to go eat cinnamon toast with her in the Bean Bar. Sherm said yes and so they went on a little "date".
  • Don't worry! He is not dead. He just got divorced and left my family so this is a way for me to remember him.
  • Oh! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to-
  • 02-14
  • Since Sherm likes Bridge, he doesn't want to let her pay, so he offers.
  • Yeah. He was married for a long time with my grandma but, I guess he didn't want to anymore.
  • 02-14
  • Oh really?
  • As Bridge looked at the tiny red piece of paper that had just fallen from Sherm's wallet, she wondered what the number on it meant.
  • I write a letter to him every single day, but I never send them to him. I'm afraid he won't care about me anymore.
  • 02-14
  • Oh, I'm sorry. You didn't have to tell me. Well, we should go. It's getting dark outside.
  • Bridge then assumes that sherm's grandfather passed away, and so that is why Sherm keeps his birthday in his wallet. But Sherm tells her the truth.
  • Later on, Bridge and Sherm start talking about how this all happened and he tells her all the details.
  • Since Bridge promised her mom she would be home early, she decides it's better for them to leave.
