- I, the priest, bring the citizens to the great Oedipus because the city of Thebes has a great plague and you must find a solution to our problems!
- I have sent Creon to the Oracle of Delphi to find a solution to this horrible plague!
- I have spoken to the Oracle of Delphi and she claims that the murderer of Laius must be driven out of Thebes!
- Is that so? So then it is imperative that we must banish whoever was the killer of Laius. How exactly did he die, my brother Creon?
- He was killed by robbers going to the Oracle. Let me Call on Tiresias to find the true identity of the killer.
- It is I, the blind prophet Tiresias. Oedipus, you are the one who is truly blind. You may be a smart man and a genius when it comes to solving puzzles, but you cannot see the truth and this makes you blind.

- The true killer of Laius is in Thebes right now and is a native-born Theban who believes they are an immigrant. He is the brother and father of his children and the son and husband of his wife!
