Storyboard Text

  • Then something happened. I felt a tug in the pit of my stomach. I heard the plumbing rumble, the pipes shudder. Clarisse's grip on my hair loosened. Water shot out of the toilet, making an arc straight over my head, and the next thing I knew, I was sprawled on the bathroom tiles with Clarisse screaming behind me. pg 96 chp 6 the conflict illustrated is character vs. character and the Significance for this quote is Percy fighting Clarisse.
  • "The bull-man screamed and flung me through the air. I landed flat on my back in the grass. My head smacked against a rock. When I sat up, my vision was blurry, but I had a horn in my hands, a ragged bone weapon the size of a knife. The monster charged. Without thinking, I rolled to one side and came up Kneeling. As the monster barreled past, I drove the broken horn straight into his side, right up under his furry rib cage". pg:55 chap 4

What you may not know is that great powers are at work in your life. Gods-the forces you call the Greek gods are very much alive." pg: 71 chp 5

The best I can figure out is that something important was stolen. And if it isn't returned by summer solstice, there's going to be trouble. When you came,I was hoping I mean Athena can get along with just about anybody, except for Ares. And of course, she's got the rivalry with Poseidon. There were six empty bunk beds with silk sheets turned down. But there was no sign anyone had ever slept there. The place felt so sad and lonely, I was glad when Chiron put his hand on my shoulder and said, "Come along Percy." page: 86 chp 6

"Your father isn't dead, Percy. He's one of the Olympians." "That's ... crazy." "Is it? What's the most common thing gods did in the old stories? They ran around falling in love with humans and having kids with them. Do you think they've changed their habits in the last few millennia?" pg 100 chp 7
