The scene when Christopher finds Wellington in the front of Mrs. Shears house is important because Christopher has started his adventure trying to find who killed Wellington. For example, in the book, Christopher says "I thought for and I said " I am going to find out who killed Wellington" " (Haddon page 20). This quote is important because this is where Christopher starts his adventure.
The scene where Mrs. Alexander is talking to Christopher is important because Christopher finds out that his mother maybe not dead. Mrs. Alexander also tells Christopher that his mother might be with Mr.Shears. “And Mrs.Alexander said “Your mother, before she died, wasn’t very good friends with Mr.Shears.””(Haddon #60) This quote would indicate that Christopher’s mom might have been with Mr.Shears.
When Christopher opens the drawer room from his dad's room he finds letters that were from his mother. He reads the letters and finds out that his mother is not dead. This is important because he finds out that his mother is not actually dead. “And that was when I saw the envelope.It was an envelope addrassed to me.”(Haddon #94
When Christopher goes to see his mother he encounters a cop and the cop is stuck with Christopher on the train. This part of the book is important because Christopher is encountering his fears and now he won't trust policeman anymore."And I decided that I didn't like policemen so much anymore, so I got off the train.". This quote means that he doesn't like police anymore
When Christopher’s dad finds Christopher he tries to take back him but his mom and Mr. Shears try to stop him. This part is important because this can show that Christopher’s mom loves him. “And her shouted “You age no right to be here.”.(Haddon #196) This qoute tells Christopher that his mother doesn’t want his dad to take him away.
The lasting part of the pool seems important because Christopher has discovered all the investigations that Christopher had. Some were finding who killed Wellington,finding his mother and getting A class classes. “... I am going to pass it and get a A grade... I solved the mystery of WHO KILLED WELLINGTON and I found my mother”.(Haddon #220 and #221) This qoute in the book important because he solved all of his mysteryies.
