  • Rome is located in Italy. Rome is located on a peninsula with some islands. It goes to the Mediterranean sea. Rome is hilly and mountainous.
  • Etruscan influence of sports on the Romans
  • Romulus and Remus were special. Their mother was a princess and their father was a god called Mars. The king was scared to lose his power. He then sent his two servants to throw the twins into the Tiber River. Then a she-wolf found them and took them to her cave and raised them. When they were older a Shepard took them and raised them. When they came of age they built a big city with temples and buildings.

  • The Romans' engineering is columns, stadiums, and arches. The columns were copied by the Romans. The arches were made through bridges and buildings to go through. The Roman coliseum is two Greek theaters pushed together.

  • They had their games in a coliseum. There were gladiator fights, executions, and chariot racing. The coliseum could fill up with water which the boats would come in then they would have navel battles.
  • The Romans copied the Greek columns. There are three types of columns. There is doric, iconic, and corinthian.
  • The Romans put all the letters in the capital. The Romans had vases that they painted that have stories on them. The Romans had same gods that the Greeks had just named them different.
