In the Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford discovers who General Zorath is using as his Prey. Proof: "My dear fellow," said the general, "There is one that can." "But you can't mean-" gasped Rainsford. 'And why not?" "I can't believe you are serious, General Zaroff. this is a grisly joke." (Pg. 17)
In the Most Dangerous Game, in order to win the game, Rainsford must survive the large thick island jungle, while Zorath's pack are often released to track him down. Proof: 'At daybreak Rainsford, lying near the swamp, was awakened by a sound that made him know that he had new things to learn about fear. It was a distant sound, faint and wavering, but he knew it. It was the baying of a pack of Hounds.' (Pg. 13-14)
In the Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford is cornered in a cliff by Zorath's pack. However instead of facing with the pack, Rainsy decides to jump off the cliff as Zorath would never expect to believe he's alive after that. Proof: 'Across a cove he could see the gloomy gray stone of chateau. twenty feet below him the sea rumbled and hissed. Rainsford hesitated. He heard the hounds. Then he leaped far out into the sea. ' (Pg. 14)
