- i have to learn ho to ride a horse before it's time to go.
- James cantu is 10 and is living in the the grait planes and is preparing to go to california by trying to ride a horse.
- they took off they relized that they were low on water so they stoped at a lake to refill there cups of water.While they were filling there cups a wolf came and and attacked harry.James tried to get the wolf off harry but it was to late for james.The wolf bit harry in the neck and the family started to go to be safe but james didn’t want to leave cause james was always a kid with hope.james dad holded back james and got on the wagon,and left.

- .weeks later they make it to california and were happy but james was still sad.Years later james and his family live a happy life.James has his own family now and tells his kids about there brave uncle.
