THE MONSTERS ARE DUE ON MAPLE STREET THEME: the mind is the most dangerous weapon you can have
cause In "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street " by Rod Sterling one of the main themes is that fear and suspicion are destructive forces the reason why that is one of the main reason's is because they try to find a scapegoat (someone that is accused of wrong doing ) because they don't want to be the next target themselves for having to be the odd one in the neighborhood who they think is the alien ,I also choose this one because it shows that if something weird or strange were to happen that the person who has something strange that is working in their home or something of their's that is just working they would point the finger at them for being the "aliens" on maple street
Evidence 1 : In this scene, Les Goodman's car kept turning on and off and they accused him of being the alien because his lights kept turning on and off.
Evidence 2 : In this scene, when charlie had the shotgun seeing a mysterious figure was coming toward them and charlie it but ended out to be Pete Van Horn
Evidence 3 : In this scene charlie had accused tommy of being the alien because "He knew" what was going to happen
