  • When the narrator played the wrong note, Mr. Chong didn't react. When the narrator found out that he was deaf, she didn't put a lot of effort into learning the piano. She knew Mr. Chong was deaf so she cheated by playing random notes and skipping some bars.

  • When the talent show came, the narrator messed up the whole song. Her mother got very mad and disappointed, they got into a fight.

  • Few years later, her mother passed away. Her mother gave the narrator the piano that she had when she was a child, it was a sign of forgiveness from her mother. After all she learned how to play Pleading Child and Perfectly Contented.
