The jealous Goomblegubbon watches as the superior Dinewan swiftly approaches the ground and gloats towards the Goomblegubbon. she begins to form vengeful thoughts in her head.
Having tweleve children is tiring. Two is way better.
The Goomblegubbon wants to end the dinewans supremacy so she pretends as if she has no wings. She tries to trick the Dinewan into thinking she should also cut her wings off.
What kind of mother kills her own children?
There I have gotten rid of ten children.
The next day the two birds meet up again and the Dinewan shows the Goomblegubbon that she hasdecided to cut her wings off. The Goomblegubbon laughs in her face and tells her she tricked and flys away.
Fine now I have no wings and you only have two children.
Let's call it quits.
The Dinewan mother is now furious and decides to get revenge on the Goomblegubbon. She hides ten out of her twelve children and pretends she only has two. She tries to make the Goomblegubbon get rid of ten children.
The next day the Dinewan and Goomblegubbon cross paths again and the Goomblegubbon shows the Dinewan that she has killed ten of her children and she is now just like the Dinewan.
Finally the two birds decided that as long as a Dinewan has no wings the goomblegubbon shall only lay two eggs. This is why emus can't fly and bustards only lay two eggs each season.
