  • Come lets go check it out
  • Grandpa what's going on over there?
  • This story is about Maggie a young girl whose grandpa is a genius inventor, he builds a time machine and they as a couple travel back in time to the 1920's
  • Flappers and Prohibition
  • See these women? They're called flappers, amazing right?
  • When Maggie and her grandpa went in the time machine they traveled to a baseball field in the 1920ś. At the field was Babe Ruth the  most famous baseball player during this time. Babe Ruth is the one who made sports popular.
  • Charles Lindberg
  • I dont believe my eyes I am pretty sure thats Charles Lindbergh on his way to Paris!
  • Woah grandpa look up in the sky its a plane I wonder whose in there
  • Maggie looked over and she saw this building with multiple people trying to get in. This building was called a speakeasy, a secret place where people would have fun and sell and drink alcohol even though it was illegal for everyone at the time.
  • Back Home
  • That was really fun! Thank you grandpa. Next time can we visit the 1990's?

  • Maggie saw these women called Flappers, during this time the women started dressing up differently and and expressing themselves by cutting their hair short and changing their fashion. Women also started working and became independent. People came to speakeasies because of prohibition. Prohibition was a law that made all selling and drinking alcohol illegal for everyone.
  • Their dresses are so pretty, I'm going to go talk to her

  • Maggie and her grandpa made it back home. Maggie had realized she learned so much more about the 1920's by experiencing it. She was happy she got to see real life Flappers, Babe Ruth the legend in real life, and Charles Lindbergh flying above her. She plans on visiting many more other eras in the future. The End.
