  • The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street Theme: Don't assume.
  • In the teleplay"The Monsters Due on Main Street," the theme that I chose was don't assume. The reason why I chose this is because in the whole entire story the people on Maple Street where assuming things a lot. In the first box the neighborhood thought that Mr. Goodman was the monster because his car turned on by itself. Nobody's car could turn on even if they tried to do manually. In the second box Charlie saw a figure in the dark. Don got a gun and gave it to Steve and Steve said that he is not going shoot the guy in the dark but Charlie took the gun from Steve and shot the guy. Charlie went to go and see who it was and then he notice that it was Pete Van Horn. In the last scene, the whole neighborhood was freaked out because random people lights where on and everybody was blaming everybody and it was a disaster. To conclude don'assume is my theme because everybody was assuming that Mr.Goodman was the monster. Then charlie thought that Pete was the monster so Charlie shot him. Last everybody was assuming that people in the neighborhood was the monster.
  • The people on maple street thought that Mr. Goodman was the monster because his car turned on by itself and nobody else could turn there car on.
  • Charlie saw something walking in the dark and thought it was the monster and graved a shotgun and killed Pete Van Horn.
  • At the end of the story everybody was blaming each other because there was something that was causing  weird things to happen to there houses like the lights turning on by itself.
