Storyboard Text

  • Somewhere before the construction of Rome, King Amulius ordered the daughter of King Numitor, Rhea Silvia, to become a vestal virgin and not have kids.
  • I don’t want kids, nor will I ever want kids!
  • They can’t be here! When they’re old enough, they’ll take the throne!
  • However, Rhea had two twin babies, Romulus and Remus, with the god Mars.
  • Therefore, King Amulius threw the two babies into the Tiber River, hoping they would drown.
  • That should take care of them.
  • The twins were saved and looked-after by a she-wolf until they were found by the shepherd Faustulus.
  • When old enough, the two brothers set out to restore their grandfather to the throne.
  • When I say dethrone, you say Amulius. Dethrone!
  • Amulius!
  • Aventine!
  • After Amulius was no longer king, the twins argued on which hill they should build their new city on. They constructed their independent cities behind walls.
  • Palatine!
