Karyssa's Ethical Dilemma

Karyssa's Ethical Dilemma

Storyboard Text

  • I just asked my friend how the exam for a class was, and she asked me if I wanted all the answers since she had gotten them from a friend and scored well.
  • I know if she cheated, then most likely other students have too... my grade might be lower than a lot of my peers who got the answers unfairly. I really want to perform well...
  • It makes me really mad to think she might score better than me when I've been working harder for my grade this semester. It would be really easy to get away with this...
  • But just the thought of cheating makes me feel squirmy inside. It's against my personal moral code and our school's academic integrity policy. I won't deserve the high grade I got if I got it through cheating. I'd feel guilty after.
  • I'm going to follow my own ethical code and let my genuine effort determine my exam grade. I'll tell my friend that I don't need the answers, I just wanted her opinion on the exam difficulty. A real friend has no problem with someone following their own morals.
