Psyche was taken to a storehouse full of wheat, millet, barley, and all kinds of stuff that Venus uses to feed her pigeons. Trying to figure out how will she accomplish her first task, help suddenly appeared as a colony of ants to come out of the ground and help out Psyche.
This is impossible! I cannot accomplish this task for one night..
Wait for the noontime sun shades the whole herd, by that time the golden sheep will be easily comforted or else you will be killed by it.
The next day, Aphrodite gives Psyche another task. Psyche must collect golden fleece from the back of every sheep in a herd that hangs out by a river. Psyche follows the river god's advice and safely collects the fleece.
Aphrodite, still at it, now orders Psyche to fill a flask from the mouth of the River Styx. When Psyche reaches the head of the river, she realizes that this task seems impossible because the rocks are so dangerous. This time, an eagle helps her and fills the flask.
Aphrodite instructs Psyche to visit Persephone in the Underworld and ask for a little of her beauty.
Please help me, let me have even a drop of your beauty...
When Psyche finally got to hold the box given by Persephone she left the underworld and went back to Aphrodite. However, on her return to Aphrodite, he heard a voice warning her but because of curiosity, Psyche opens the box, thinking that, if she had a little of the beauty herself, then she'd truly be worthy of Cupid.
Do not open the box, Psyche... No matter what happen don't open it...
Unfortunately, there's no beauty in the box at all, and when Psyche takes off the lid, she's plunged into a deep sleep, collapsing in the middle of the forest...
Cupid, unbeknownst to Psyche, had been divinely helping her through all her trials. Recovered from him burns and no longer able to bear being away from his love, Cupid flies to her. After he puts the sleep back into its box, Psyche revives. Cupid then, takes Psyche to Zeus to request her immortality. Zeus grants the request and makes Psyche an immortal goddess.
