- Hi my name is lung I am part of the respiratory system my job is to bring fresh oxygen to your body.
- Hi they call me heart I am part of the circulatory system my job is to pump blood to give to the rest of the body.
- We work together to help you breathe and to move blood throughout the body.
- Everyone hates me because I am a big bad virus called influenza A
- I enter through your nose when an infected person sneezes or coughs. I copy myself to harm your body. When I enter the lungs, your body tries to fight me but sometimes I am stronger. When I get stronger, I can turn into pneumonia. Since the lungs are in charge of oxygenating your blood and sending it back to the heart, I can cause a lot of damage to the heart and prevent oxygen from getting to other tissue in the body.
- We can take a vaccine to reduce the impact if someone gets influenza A. In 2018 study showed that 59% of vaccinated people were less likely to have to go to icu
- the vaccine puts tiny parts of the virus in your system so your immune system will learn how to fight the virus
