Exposition: It was eleven o'clock at night. Roger, a boy from the street, had tried to snatch Mrs. Jones's pocketbook. Rising Action: She shook him until his teeth rattled. He's face was dirty and was scared of her and started to regret of what he was going to do.
Mrs. Jones dragged Roger up the street and inside her place. She decided that she was going to teach him the right way. He had mentioned that he wanted a pair of blue suede shoes. Roger cleaned his face and she offered him food. Climax: He wanted to gain Mrs. Jones's trust, so he didn't try to steal the pocketbook or run away. Falling Action: He asked if she needed help with anything.
After they had finished eating, Mrs. Jones gave Roger $10 so he could buy himself a pair of blue suede shoes. She told him to behave himself and not do anything bad like trying to steal anything from someone else. Resolution: Roger had thanked her but he barely managed. Mrs. Jones shut the door and he never saw her again.
