In Cuba, we have a command economy which means we have economic security and equity because government provides things for us.
In the USA...
In the USA, we have a mixed market we have economic freedom and growth because we are allowed to make our own decisions economy like picking out our own jobs and opening our own businesses.
I can't wait to see my family in the USA!
Economic Security: the government providing things to its citizens (i.e housing) Economic Equity: the government regulating the economy and making sure it is fair and the same (i.e same paychecks)
Hi, do you have directions to this apartment?
I'm from Cuba!
Yes! I like your accent where are you from?
Oh, cool. What is your economy like in Cuba?
Economic Freedom: the citizens being able to make their own economic decisions (i.e pick own jobs) Economic Growth: the government growing and getting better (i.e richer or having better circumstances in the country)
I like many things in my government like how we have job security and how we have our basic needs met, but there is a downside too we get paid exactly the same no matter experience and we cant really peruse our passions.
Oh, in our government we are able to open the businesses that we want to and we are allowed to buy what we want when we need it which I like, but sometimes and scared about losing my job and not being able to find another one easily, alongside tm basic needs which without a job or any income we are not secured those things which can be scary.
Also, in Cuba we produce what the government wants to be produced we make it how the government wants it to be produced and for whom the government wants it to go to.
Oh, in the USA we produce the supply and demand, what the people need. We produce the way we want to produce as long as it is safe in government standards, and we produce for the consumers buying our products. Anyways turn left in 2 blocks and you'll be there.
