Longer Passing Periods - Xenia Bidash
Why passing periods should be longer
Two years ago, I walked into class realizing I had made an almighty mistake. Everyone was looking at me, and my teacher said I was late.
Since the start of my middle school journey, passing periods were exactly three minutes. A three minute passing period left me a little swimmy-headed at first, but then I became wrathy.
As an 8th grade student, i'm making this address to aim the boss dog about the short amount of time us Chippewa Middle School student have to get to one class to another.
Short passing periods often cause us student to be late which is a botherment to the class, leaving our teachers fit to be tied. Teachers proceed to give us tardies that can later become detentions, which is the call it can hurts our future years in school.
The most common reasons students are late to class because of short passing periods is because of students who are in band/orchestra, students dropping off their supplies at different classes before they go to their own class, crowded hallways, etc.
I think it's important for our school to have longer passing periods for students to be on time to class to avoid tardies, detentions, and missing out on big opportunities in the future. Mr. Swanson, i'm asking in a mannerable way if you could please make our school's passing period's longer, that would be hunkey dorey!
