Diversity was rarely shown into my elementary school.
It was a mainly a White and Hispanic school.
As I continued onto middle school, there was more diverse kids but still a White and Hispanic school.
Being able to move away and head off into a new place made me optimistic of what my new school would look like.
But instead of being mainly White and Hispanic it was just Hispanic.
The school was also very strict in uniforms.
As I left and switched to a new school, I realized that my new school was very diverse and gave me more opportunities to express myself.
Hopefully in the future we will be more diverse and learn to love one another.
