during the summer me and my sister went to the youth leadership conference (YLC). Basically it was a conference for youth of the church of jesus Christ of the latter day saints. It takes place every year, and this year was my first.
It took place at Waterloo University, we stayed there for a total of 4 days. We went there to learn more about the gospel and to meet new people. there where youth from all over Ontario (Cambridge, Toronto, Oshawa, etc.)
to start off, we had a conference, and they told us what we were going to do and why we were there for, and why it was a good decision to make. we had conferences like that every day in the morning so we would know what we were going to do for that day. also, there were speakers that talked to us in those conferences
time for lunch. The food provided there was decent, but the breakfast was the best one for sure
to have some fun we had a dance, me and my friends just hanged out and talked and had food, the weird part for me was that i needed to excort a girl to the dance (and I didnt want to do that, but I still did it)
to end things off, we had this service activity, where we packaged over 15 000 packages of food for charity. I had a lot of fun at this conference and made a lot of new friends, I'm definitely going next year.
