  • Brown sits in comfort at the Adair family home. Even though he did not participate in the Attack at Pottawatomie Creek, he supported the efforts
  • Brown heads away from Kansas due to the loss of his son Frederick, in Battle
  • While being away from Kansas for a while, Brown decides to head back to free slaves and lead raids.
