The Mayflower was a ship that the Pilgrims got on to leave England to Massachusetts. They settled in an area where rocky soil was, this was called Plymouth Rock.
The Pilgrims would fish for their food and for trading. Not only did they fish they also had subsistence farming, but they also used timber to use. Since they are near the ocean whaling was often done.
The Mayflower Compact was the first document of government of Plymouth. This document was written by the men on the Mayflower, the document was made up of laws that they would have to follow.
The Pilgrims left England for religious freedom, therefore they were all mostly church members but if they were suspicious that you were not pure enough you would get executed, this was called The Salem Witch Trials. In conclusion, the Pilgrims were very religious they based their laws off of God, and tried to be as pure as possible.
