The main conflict is man versus self. This conflict is the one within Macbeth that causes him to contemplate what he should follow: fate or free will. This conflict increasingly gets in the way of his ambitious road to royalty and fame.

Macbeth and Banquo learn about 3 prophecies from the Weird Sisters (Macbeth will become Thane of Cawdor and king and Banquo's sons will be kings). The Macbeths decide to murder King Duncan and Banquo. Macbeth learns about 3 new prophecies making it seem like he is unstoppable. People in Macduff's castle are killed on behalf of Macbeth.
Hail, King of Scotland! (pg. 133)
Macbeth realizes the British army is coming toward his castle because of his murderous actions. Since the trees are moving, Macbeth knows that the prophecies have some truth.
Macbeth fights with many during the battle. It is discovered that Macduff was not technically born of a woman, making Macbeth know that his powers are coming to an end. He fights with Macduff.
Macbeth is decapitated by Macduff. Malcolm becomes king of Scotland.
