Peak finds out that Josh is actually in debt, meaning that the main reason for Peak to come to Everest was for the fame of being the youngest climber ever to summit and joshes company would be revived. As you would think Peaks relationship with his father couldn't be anymore of a ram shackle, josh betrays him.
Holly's voice was the definition of scraping a fork against a chalk board as Peak hears it scrape up the side of the mountain approaching closer and closer. All Peak could do was scrutinize her as she try's to latch her arms around him.
Peak makes a deal with his father, and Josh actually makes it seem like he cares about peak a little bit. the two mutually agree and their bond seems to be more pristine then it was,
François gets the common climbing condition HAPE. He's breathing like he has grist in his lungs and is terrible condition for a climb. He cannot make it up the mountain like this.
They put François in a Gamow bag to give him more oxygen so he can live through bringing him down the mountain. He can't continue climbing because his body will acclimatize to all that new oxygen. HAPE is dangerous and can happen to anyone, François was no amateur at all but HAPE can still acure if you do not acclimatize correctly.
They return François to base camp for him to rest. They find out he already has existing heart problems, this could have been from his geriatric condition but never the less he lied to them. He tried to summit with a pre existing health problem and put all of them in danger. josh was not very happy.
