Storyboard Text

  • The Old Stone age to the New Stone Age  By : Jayda Olivier and Atlyahna Dangcil
  • In  the Paleolithic age, they used shelters as temporary homes. Their homes were temporary because, they always were moving to follow the wild animal herds, or find new plants to eat.
  • They used mud bricks and packed them together that were either round or rectangular. Sometimes they would add stone or branches to the mud bricks for stronger structures.
  • To store food we would build little storage areas at the bottom of the floor. For cooking, they would dig pits in the ground and line them with clay.
  • The development of shelters are important because it protected us from harsh weather and dangerous animals.
  • Long-lasting shelter enabled us to build bigger shelters.
