Storyboard Text

  • When and Where was the Mayan Civilization?
  • Aqueducts
  • Numeral System with Place Values
  • Mayan where the first to use the number zero.
  • The Mayan civilization happen around the 6th century C.E. Mayan had began in the southeast Mexico across modern day Guatemala, Belize, the western part of Honduras, and El Salvador.
  • Writing System
  • I believe the aqueducts was the most important achievement. The aqueduct would bring water to the crops and the animals. Aqueduct would also gather rain water.
  • theories
  • The Numeral system with place values was important because system still live on today and help us with our number system.
  • The End of the Mayan
  • The writing system is also important achievement. The reason why the writing system was important because then we wouldn't know everything that we know today about the Mayan. Also, six million people wouldn't still speak this language if they didn't have a writing system.
  • Four theories about how the Mayan Civilization came to a end. Theory one warfare, theory two disease, theory three famine, and theory four disaster or environmental change. Theory three famine has one thing that doesn't make since is that how they could have got back to hunting.
  • I believe that disease killed the Mayan people. The reason why I think this is because the disease got into food that they would eat. Those are the reason why the Mayan people had ended by dying from disease.
