After the Cyclops ate two more of Odysseus's men they knew they had to escape now before anyone else is killed. While the cyclops is asleep Odysseus and what is left of his men grab a giant stick that they've been hiding in the corner of the cave and start burning the tip of it in the fire next to the cyclops. Then they hoist it up and stab the Cyclops in the eye.
Setting: Cave of the Cyclops in the land of the Cyclops
Characters: Odysseus, his crew and Polyphemus
The other cyclops come running to Polyphemus hearing his cries and asking who stabbed his eye and so Polyphemus told them that nobody did. Then all the cyclops left feeling as if they wasted their time. It was only then that Polyphemus moves the boulder that kept the cave closed and Odysseus and his crew escaped by clinging onto the bottom of the rams so Polyphemus couldn't feel them and only felt the rams back.
After being trapped by the cyclops in his cave Odysseus and his crew have to figure out a way to escape before they all get eaten. However there's one big road block the Cyclops Polyphemus and the huge boulder covering the entrance to the cave
After being trapped for a few days and some more of his men dieing Odysseus decided now was the time to escape he has found a way out so first he tells the Cyclops that his name is nobody. Now the plan is in place and will begin as soon as the cyclops falls asleep.
Odysseus and his crew escape from the cyclops and ran for their ship but not before Odysseus makes a grave mistake.He tells the cyclops that his name is actually Odysseus andto tell anyone that asks him what happened to his eye that Odysseus king of Ithica did this to him. Then Polyphemus tells his father also known as Poseidon to curses Odysseus so that he and his men may never return and if they do that if he ever does return he will be welcomed with terrible fate.
