Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising action
  • The boys are stranded on an island after a plane crash. They were escaping England when World War Three began. They are greeted by the Littluns, and have a conch shell as their symbol of government.
  • Climax
  • The boys build a fire on top of the mountain, to try and get someone to rescue them. They begin arguing as some boys refuse to gather wood, like Piggy.
  • Falling action
  • The boys begin mistrusting each other.  This is mostly started by Ralph's distaste for Jack's wild, barbaric nature. Civility also begins to break down.
  • Resolution
  • Piggy falls off a cliff into the water and dies. The choir kills Simon, which they thought was the Beast.
  • There is a looming, eerie feeling among the boys, as they are guilty for killing one another. Violence still occurs.
  • Ralph's father, a naval officer for the United Kingdom, finds the island the boys are stranded on and rescues them. Ralph greets his father in tears.
