Us humans really enjoy burning coal, wood, and other potential fuels. We burn most of this stuff in cars and factories.
When we burn these things we create what are called Green House Gasses. One of the most common ones is CO2, or carbon dioxide.
These gasses are released into the air as a product of burning different things.
These Green House Gasses spread throughout cities and towns and anywhere it ca get to.
Staying in the Earth's atmosphere, CO2 and other gasses stay close to our surface and heat up everything around it.
As they travel the world, some of them meet up with a lot of their buddies at the poles and in other cold places and heat up the glaciers constantly, causing them to rapidly melt.
