German cars and trucks enter Sighet. Everyone ignores whats happening till the leaders of the Jewish community were arrested. The Jews couldn't leave the house for three days. Next the Hungarian police busted in every Jews home to take their gold and jewelry. After the three days in the house they had been giving an order to wear yellow stars on there clothes. Then they brought them to the ghettos and the Jewish people didn't mind it since it was a community of Jews.
The Jews get moved out of the ghetto and put on boxcars to be railed to the camp. during the ride one woman starts screaming and seeing flames saying that's whats coming to the Jews. The men get sick of her and tie her up. they rode for a few days and then arrived at Auschwits.
Elie and his father take a long & cold walk from Buna to Gleiwitz. When leaving Buna the prisoners were thirsty & hungry, and weren't allowed to bend over so they ate spoon full of snow. After walking Elie & his father come up to a shed and take shelter & fall asleep. when Elie wakes up he realized how old his father 'aged' since he fell asleep. When they arrived to Gleiwits, he seen Juliek. While being crushed by bodies in a small building Juliek plays a concerto for dead men.
