They go to Dawns house to find her listening to music, and the baby playing, and to find out it wasn't her on the phone.
That night, she finds her husband slumped in his chair, dead from a heart attack.

The story jumps forward after 5 years to the day polly's wedding on Bill's death anniversary.
Katie is in Bill's old office when she finds a tape of Ghost Kiss. She was very sad over the death of her husband and accidentally dialed the old house number. She is shocked when it rings and is answered by herself five years previously. She tries to warn herself about Bill's heart attack but is unable to speak. After that she realizes the truth of what happened that night. Then the story ends with her upset about her husband.
